Product Description:

Clos D'Agon's history is inseparable from a historic "Masia," named Mas Sabater. A Masia was a typical Catalan estate surrounded by farmlands or vineyards. In 1792, the Masia which still stands today, was renamed to Mas Gil. There exists written evidence that vineyards containing several hybrid grape varietals once existed on the lands of Mas Gil as early as the 15th century.

Amic is Clos d'Agon's refreshing, youthful and vibrant line of wines that focus on fruit driven flavors as well as the inclusion of Spanish grape varietals in the blend. The Amic Blanc is a medium bodied white wine blend that boasts floral and herbaceous notes on the bouquet. Bright notes of white pear and toast on the palate mingle about in a playful, less serious take on complexity. The wine has a refreshing, cool finish with a tinge of salinity in the end.

Towards the end of 1980's The property was acquired by French-Belgian national, Philippe Damboise. Damboise made several changes from the pruning method to the grape varietals planted in the vineyards. The shift to Bordeaux varietals for the reds and Rhone Valley varietals for the whites established the core of the wines that Clos d'Agon produces today.

On the nose it is intense, very fruity and fresh. Aromas of white flowers and herbaceous notes appear.  On the palate it is very fresh, with a smooth entry and with a few bitter touches, which add weight, and salty, which give it freshness
